Stable connection
How it works

Two ways to translate live.

1. Event live translation

For conferences, ceremonies, and in-person gatherings. Attendees scan a QR or open a link on their phone, pick their language, and read captions as they happen.

2. Audience joins in their language

Guests open the event link on their phone or laptop, choose their preferred language, and read live captions in their own script — no app download required.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does live translation work?

Speakeasy Live captures audio from your event microphone or a video stream, then sends it to an AI model that transcribes and translates in real time. Captions appear in each attendee's chosen language, usually within 1–3 seconds.

Which languages are supported?

We currently support 13 languages: English, 普通话 (Mandarin), 粵語 (Cantonese), 日本語 (Japanese), 한국어 (Korean), हिन्दी (Hindi), नेपाली (Nepali), اردو (Urdu), Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog (Filipino), ไทย (Thai), ਪੰਜਾਬੀ (Punjabi), Tiếng Việt (Vietnamese).

Do attendees need to install an app?

No. Guests simply open a link in their mobile or desktop browser, select their language, and read captions as they appear. No downloads, accounts, or setup required.

Can it translate a Zoom, YouTube, or other video link?

Not yet — video link translation is on the roadmap. Today, Speakeasy Live translates live audio from your event microphone or sound system.

Is my event audio kept private?

Audio is processed in real time and is not retained after the session ends. Access codes let you control who can join your live captions feed, so your event stays private to invited guests.
